FAQ

Why isn't the charging station appearing in the commissioning wizard?

Check that the Ethernet cable is connected to port 6 (red) at the bottom of the charging station and that the communication protocol is set to Modbus TCP in the FoxCloud2.0 app. Restart the gateway and wait for the network scan to complete.

How do I update the firmware of the charging station?

You can perform the update through the FoxCloud2.0 app.
For detailed update instructions, refer to the official FoxESS documentation.

What is Modbus TCP and why is it required?

Modbus TCP grants the gateway full control permissions over the charging station, including charging control, parameter configuration, and information queries. Other communication protocols (OCPP, Modbus RTU) limit these permissions and prevent the gateway from fully controlling the charging station.
