Before you start
Before you begin, make sure:
The charging station is physically installed and powered on
The charging station is updated to the latest version
You have the installer login credentials (found on the setup data sheet attached to the device)
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Connect the charging station to the network
Connect an Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port on the charging station
Verify the connection is established by checking the network indicators
For network infrastructure requirements and troubleshooting, see Infrastructure requirements for the gateway.
2. Access the charging station settings
Open a web browser and access the charging stations's web portal
Log in with the installer credentials from the setup data sheet
For charging stations with two connections (master/slave), access each charging point separately:
Master charging point:
http://:81/operatorSlave charging point:
http://:82/operator
3. Enable communication via Modbus
Navigate to:

4. Configure load management settings
Navigate to:
Load managementConfigure the following settings:
Operator current limit [A]: Set to the maximum limit of the charging station (
16or32)
Save the settings
These parameters must be configured individually for each charging point (master and slave).
5. Discover the charging station in the commissioning wizard
The charging station is now ready for the commissioning wizard. The gateway will scan the network to find available devices, which may take a few minutes. Once complete, the charging station will appear on the results page.
FAQ
Why isn't the charging station appearing in the commissioning wizard?
Check that the charging station is connected via Ethernet and that Modbus TCP is enabled with port 502. Verify that EEBUS is set to "Off" and DLM Master/Slave is "Deactivated". Restart the gateway and wait for the network scan to complete.
How do I update the firmware of the charging station?
The firmware update can be performed through the web portal. For detailed update instructions, refer to the official Mennekes documentation.
Where do I find the device password?
The installer login credentials (username and password) are printed on the setup data sheet attached to the charging station.
What if I have forgotten the installer credentials?
Contact the Mennekes support team. The credentials are device-specific and cannot be reset without manufacturer assistance.
How do I handle dual charging point configurations?
For charging stations with two connections (master/slave), you must:
Access each charging point separately via different ports (
:81/operatorfor master,:82/operatorfor slave)Configure load management settings individually for each charging point
Both charging points share the same IP address but use different port numbers
